Bob and Freedom lakes are really excited to be able to tell you that they have secured a place at this years Carp show at Sandown. SASHA The smallest of the 3 lakes at 9 Acres

ANGELE The 'middle' sized lake at 19 Acres

LOUANNE The largest of the 3 lakes is 29 Acres

In 2008, more than 900 Carp were introduced into these 3 lakes. Over 500 of these weigh in excess of 30lbs. Carp over 50lbs each were also part of this 900 stock.

The data below for JUNE is unfortunately incomplete due to not everyone submitting their catches.


1 record mirror weighing in at 45lbs for Lake ANGELE

41 @ 20lb+ 30 of them over 25lb

44 @ 30lb+ 14 of them over 35lb

18 @ 40lb+ 3 of them over 45lb

In addition to the above Freedom hosted a 72hr Enduro with a total catch of

1,542 lbs equalling an average of 30lb 4oz

Top Fish:
SACHA (9acres): 40lb Mirror, 29lb Common
ANGELE (19 acres):45lb Mirror, 42.04lb Common,
NEW RECORD: 43LB Grass Carp
LOUANNE (29 acres): 57lb Mirror, 49,06 Common

COMPLEX RECORD CATFISH 135lbs

The three lakes open for angling in 2009/10 are 9acres, 19acres and 29acres and offer easy, medium and more difficult fishing opportunities. The two smaller lakes hold a massive head of 20's and 30's - and offer great action and the chance of catching 30lb+ fish and even 40lb+ during your fishing holiday.

He handles some 70 tons of Carp every winter, and in 2008 this figure rocketed to 109 Tons!


As Jean Noel has a personal vested interest in Freedom Lakes, only the best and prettiest Carp available were personally selected to go into the newly opened 3 lakes.
